Vice President of Specialty Sales, Besse Medical

Eric is Vice President of Specialty Sales at Besse Medical, an AmerisourceBergen company. Besse Medical is focused on the distribution of pharmaceuticals and related products to community primary care and specialty (outside oncology) physician practices and clinics and surgery centers throughout the United States. Eric is a member of the senior management team where he provides leadership to the specialty sales team and is responsible for Besse Medical’s customer facing technology strategy and business development.

Eric started his career in the pharmaceutical distribution industry in 1998 when he was responsible for Information Systems for the former privately-held Besse Medical. Upon the merger of Amerisource and Bergen Brunswig in 2001, Eric was appointed to Director of Business Information Systems. He assumed his role as Vice President of Business Information Solutions in 2010, where he was responsible for all internal information systems, including; ecommerce, CRM, data analysis and the service desk. In 2013, Eric lead the effort to design, build and launch its provider facing inventory system, CubixxMD, in the retina and ophthalmology markets. Eric was responsible for the development, product roadmap and marketing strategy of its physician practice technology solutions, which later also included PODIS Plus, an inventory management, procurement and office support that was acquired by AmerisourceBergen in 2018. 

Eric is also a member of a number of different groups within AmerisourceBergen where he provides leadership on CRM, ecommerce and enterprise resource planning issues.

Prior to joining AmerisourceBergen, Eric’s background included technology support experience such as systems integration, database analysis, office automation and several system migration projects.

Eric has a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Information Systems from Xavier University.
