Important dates for the Quality Payment Program

If you are reporting traditional MIPS, through MVPs (MIPS Value Pathways), or as part of an APM (Alternative Payment Model), your practice and providers may need to know these important dates for your 2025 submission:
NOTE: all dates are 2025, unless noted
- June 25: 2023 Preview Period for doctors and clinicians closes at 8 pm ET
- June 30: CAHPS for MIPS Survey registration closes at 8 pm ET
- July 5: Last day to start a 180-day performance period for PI (Promoting Interoperability)
- July: APM eligibility is updated by CMS
- September 2: Last day to register with your state Public Health Agency for immunizations and electronic case reporting
- October 3: Last day to start a 90-day performance period for IA (Improvement Activities)
- October: APM eligibility is updated by CMS
- December 1: MVP registration closes at 8pm ET
- December: MIPS eligibility finalized by CMS
- December 31: 2025 performance period ends
- December 31: Exception applications deadline at 8 pm ET
- January 2, 2026: Submission window opens for 2025 reporting
- March 31, 2026: Submission window closes for 2025 reporting
